Sam Reynolds - I

About This Blog (Click)

This guys is a fantastic acoustic song writer.  Not punk in any way, but undeniably listenable and easily appreciable.  I have a soft spot for this kind of stuff when it's this good.

Patsy Stone - Self Titled EP

About This Blog (Click)

This sounds like it was recorded in the bands' garage but miraculously turned out well.  The EP features a short three songs in a really old school sounding melodic skate punk coating.  Pretty infectious stuff.

To Write A Riot - The Party Law EP

About This Blog (Click)

Fairly harmless power-pop from a band with goofy smiles.  If you like that sort of thing the album is up on PureVolume for the time being.

The Challenged/Nancy - 7 Guys, 1 Cup

About This Blog (Click)

This is a surprisingly solid split offered by a couple of deeply underground pop-punk acts that should be getting at least a little more press.  The Challenged have been kicking around for what seems like forever, and Nancy, well, I've never heard of 'em - but based on their contribution to this split, it looks like I'm gonna have to get out and do some research!  I highly recommend this awkwardly named split to rough pop-punk enthusiasts.

PJ Bond - You Didn't Know I Was Alphabetical

About This Blog (Click)

PJ Bond is a fantastic slice of country/folk guided by a punk vision.  To over simplify things, this guy sound like Frank Turner wannabe, but that would be dismissing Bond's excellent musicianship.  it would also be dismissive of the dude's ten year plus musical career.  Another knockout Black Numbers Records release that you can pay whatever the hell you want for.  This album is so good I feel really bad not having dropped a dime for it.

Arteries - Blood, Sweat, and Beers

About This Blog (Click)

This album came out at the beginning of the year over in Europe and now is finally getting a North American release with Black Numbers Records.  This is a fantastic sloppy pop-punk album in the vein of 90's Fat Wreck releases but still manages to sound current and relevant.  This is a MUST GET.  The label lets you set your price, so pay what you want!

American War - Rhetoric

About This Blog (Click)

The Sidekicks are an awesome rough punk/indie band, so this little side project of Sidekicks member Matt Schuerman is a pleasant little treat.  It's reflective sounding with a far more sorrowful feel than what The Sidekicks are typically known for.  As with all ifyoumake it releases, if you like it, you can always donate.
